Honest UK horse ownership guides, built for people who actually need the answers

YourHorseBuddy.com is an independent resource for first-time buyers and current owners in the United Kingdom. No sponsored content. No padded reviews. Just the information UK horse owners wish they'd had before they started.

What we do

YourHorseBuddy publishes independent, data-backed guides on UK horse ownership. The site covers:

Our 5-question quiz on the homepage gives you a personalised recommendation on breed, age, budget and what to look out for. Tailored to your experience and setup.

How we work

We research every guide against UK primary sources: the British Horse Society, RCVS equine register, Farriers Registration Council, BAEDT, direct insurer policy wording, and verified competitor sites. Where numbers are directional (prices, lesson rates, insurance premiums) we say so and tell you to verify from the source before acting on them.

We're independent. We'll tell you when a brand is well-regarded and when it isn't. Agria's 4-star review wasn't ordered by Agria. Harry Hall's 3.5-star review wasn't ordered by Harry Hall. We don't do sponsored articles.

Where we have an affiliate relationship with a brand (for example, MoneySupermarket for insurance quote comparisons) we disclose it in the relevant article. Affiliate relationships do not influence the editorial read of any brand we review.

Who we are

YourHorseBuddy.com is published by Buddy Labs Ltd, a UK company that builds focused, honest consumer resources. We also run PartnershipsBuddy.com (growth partners for UK founders) and YourGrantBuddy.com (UK business grants directory).

Content on YHB is produced by our in-house editorial team, cross-referenced against UK equestrian sources, and updated on a rolling basis as prices, regulations and brands change.

Honest limits
